Children’s Art Programs

At Blue Mouse Gallery, art is a process. That’s why we offer open-ended art projects in our classes. We provide inspiration and art materials, and we show our young artists how to use different tools. We encourage individual creativity and explore the world of art together.

Our studio cultivates personal agency. We are a community where children belong and make their own choices. By expressing themselves through art, children gain an understanding of their emotions. By planning and developing their own art projects, they strengthen executive functions like attention, focus, execution and evaluation. At Blue Mouse Gallery, children learn a lot more than just art.

Our gallery shares our artists’ pride and joy. At the end of each class session, participants have the option to exhibit one piece they created in our gallery, either for temporary viewing or for sale. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed about our exhibitions!

Our groups support social learning. In every class, we will allow some time for socializing, getting to know each other, and talking about things that are important to us. In order to create freely, we must create a safe space first.

As we work on projects over several weeks, we are unable to offer drop-in classes. Please sign up for a 6-week class session. If you would like to get to know our studio before signing up, join us for drop-in events on Thursdays and Saturdays (see below).

Every child is an artist. The problem is staying an artist when you grow up.

A group of children during a birthday party at Blue Mouse Gallery

Celebrate your birthday at Blue Mouse Gallery! Our birthday parties are as unique as your child. They get to choose a theme for their party, and we provide a list of suggested activities that match the theme, their age, and the general characteristics of the expected group. You are free to bring food and drinks of your choice. Blue Mouse Gallery can accommodate up to 12 children for birthday parties on Sunday afternoons.

Please get in touch if you are interested in hosting a birthday party with us! Individual pricing depends on the number of children and the material costs of the selected art projects. We will start with a baseline of $400 for 10 children (90 minutes, 3 art projects) and will determine additional costs for a larger number of children, extra time, or more elaborate art materials (e.g., using canvas, clay etc.).
