Children’s Art Programs

At Blue Mouse Gallery, art is a process. That’s why we offer open-ended art projects. We provide inspiration and art materials, and we show our young artists how to use different media. We encourage individual creativity and explore the world of art together.

Our studio cultivates personal agency. We are a community where children belong and make their own choices. By expressing themselves through art, children gain an understanding of their emotions. By planning and developing their own art projects, they strengthen executive functions like attention, focus, execution and evaluation. At Blue Mouse Gallery, children learn a lot more than just art.

Our gallery shares our artists’ pride and joy. At the end of each class session, participants have the option to exhibit one piece they created in our gallery, either for temporary viewing or for sale. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed about our exhibitions!

Our groups support social learning. In every class, we will allow some time for socializing, getting to know each other, and talking about things that are important to us. In order to create freely, we must create a safe space first.

As we work on projects over several weeks, we are unable to offer drop-in classes. Please sign up for a 6-week class session. If you would like to get to know our studio before signing up, join us for Family Time or visit one of our events.

Every child is an artist. The problem is staying an artist when you grow up.

Join us for Family Time! Every child can bring their adults along to make art together. There is no age restriction, but at least one caretaker has to stay with the child for the entire time. We will offer simple but fun art projects that can easily be finished during one meeting. We welcome signing up in advance to help us plan your visit, but drop-ins are welcome.

Family Time is a great opportunity to get to know our studio and to connect with other families. While making art, you will be able to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere.
