Holiday & Vacation Programs

Art programs for holidays and school breaks

Be creative, find new friends, and have fun learning!

Our holiday and vacation programs are open to children aged 6-12. Children who are 5 may join if they are currently enrolled in Kindergarten (school year 2025-2026), are comfortable working independently and do not require any one-on-one help with everyday skills. Our vacation programs are not designed for preschool students.

Holiday Workshops: Each workshop is limited to 10 students. During the 3 hours, we will spend some time outside to recharge our creative energy, have a snack together (bring from home or get a small nut-free snack from us), and work on our creative projects. On most federal holidays we offer morning and afternoon workshops that can be combined into a full-day program.

Vacation Programs: Vacation programs are limited to 10 students per day. Each week has a theme that will be explored with a variety of daily changing art projects. Vacation programs can be booked for single days, or for an entire week. We will always spend a good amount of time outside and have two snacks and lunch together during the day (please bring from home).

Our Summer Art Program 2026 is now posted and open for registration. We offer full-day programs Monday-Friday (9am-4pm) during June 29-July 17 and August 10-28.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions.

Theme: Food Art

Everybody loves food! So let’s make art that features our favorite things to eat. Every day, we will explore a different medium to create food artwork. We will draw and paint, create sculptures, print, and design a fridge magnet of our favorite food to take home.

On Friday, we will design our own stamps showcasing food items of our choice. Everybody who brings a white (or light-colored) T-shirt can decorate it with a beautiful textile food art print!

  • Program time: Tuesday-Friday 9am-4pm (no program on Monday, Patriots’/Marathon Day)

  • Cost: $120 per day/$450 for 4 days (all materials included)

If you enroll more than one child, register and pay the full price for the first child, then apply our 10% sibling discount when you register the sibling separately. Use coupon code SIBLING during checkout for the discounted fee.

  • What to bring: wear clothes that can be washed easily in case it gets messy (we have aprons), bring a warm layer and comfortable shoes to spend time outside, water bottle, nut-free lunch and 2 snacks

SUMMER ART PROGRAM 2026

Have a creative summer with us!

We will run our full-day summer program (9am-4pm) during the first 3 vacation weeks in July (June 29-July 17) and during the last 3 weeks of August (August 10-28). Our summer program can only be booked for a full week.

Every week has its own theme to guide our artistic explorations. We will use an abundance of different materials for structured art projects, process art, and self-guided projects. Every Friday, we will create a print that matches the week’s theme and everybody who brings a white or light-colored shirt can turn it into wearable textile art.

During the day, we will take breaks and spend plenty of time outside at one of our many neighborhood playgrounds.

Like all our vacation programs, the summer program is open to children aged 6-12. Children who are 5 may join if they are currently enrolled in Kindergarten (school year 2025-2026), are comfortable working independently and do not require any one-on-one help with everyday skills (getting dressed/undressed, tying shoes, using the bathroom, washing hands etc.).

  • Program time: Monday-Friday 9am-4pm

  • Cost: $580 for full week (all materials included)

If you enroll more than one child, register and pay the full price for the first child, then apply our 10% sibling discount when you register the sibling separately. Use coupon code SIBLING during checkout for the discounted fee.

Week 1 (June 29/30-July 2): Castles & Dragons

During our first week of summer, we will create fantasy worlds and enjoy being far, far away from our daily schedules! We will build castles, paint fantastic creatures, and find ways to make what we want. Maybe a crown for a princess? Or a shield for a knight?

This week has only 4 days of summer program due to the federal holiday on Friday, July 3. The program fee is adjusted to $465. Please contact us if your school district has declared Monday, 6/29 as an additional school day and you would like to book Tuesday-Thursday (6/30-7/2). We can sign your child up manually for 3 days and send you a payment link for the reduced program fee.

Week 2 (July 6-10): Snow & Ice

While we enjoy the warmth and sunshine of summer, we will escape into landscapes of ice and snow. We will paint beautiful ice structures and create the animals that live in them, penguins, polar bears, seals, orcas and ???

Week 2 is SOLD OUT. Please email us if you would like to be placed on our waiting list in case a spot opens up.

Week 3 (July 13-17): Buzz & Crawl - Insects!

This week, we will discover the miniature world of insects. We will not exclude anything that crawls, so spiders, centipedes, worms etc. are welcome, too. We will observe bugs, butterflies, flies, and everything else we can find in our neighborhood and try to capture them in nature drawings. In addition, we will create paintings, sculptures, and of course prints!

Week 3 is SOLD OUT. Please email us if you would like to be placed on our waiting list in case a spot opens up.

Blue Mouse Gallery will be closed July 19-August 9, 2026 for summer break.

Week 4 (August 10-14): Space Adventures

It’s time to go to space! There is so much to explore—planets, stars, galaxies, and probably some aliens? We will figure out how to build a rocket ship, then draw, paint, sculpt, and print what we find out there. This week, we are looking for explorers and adventurers!

Week 5 (August 17-21): Jungle Explorers

After going to space, we will return to earth’s adventures and explore the wild jungle. There are so many breathtaking plants and animals to feature in our art that we will not run out of ideas for sure! As always, we will use a multitude of materials to express our creativity.

Week 6 (August 24-28): Beautiful Monsters

Before summer break ends, we will dedicate our last vacation week to the sillier side of life. We will draw, paint, sculpt, print and possibly become monsters ourselves. Who knows what will happen… the only thing that is certain is we will have lots of fun! Don’t forget your T-shirt for our last Friday print this summer!
