Holiday & Vacation Programs

Our holiday and vacation programs are open to children aged 6-12. Children who are 5 may join if they are currently enrolled in Kindergarten (school year 2025-2026), are comfortable working independently and do not require any one-on-one help with everyday skills (getting dressed/undressed, tying shoes, using the bathroom, washing hands etc.).

Holiday Workshops: Each workshop is limited to 10 students. During the 3 hours, we will spend some time outside to recharge our creative energy, have a snack together (bring from home or get a small nut-free snack from us), and work on our creative projects. On most federal holidays we offer morning and afternoon workshops that can be combined into a full-day program.

Vacation Programs: Vacation programs are limited to 10 students per day. Each week has a theme that will be explored with a variety of daily changing art projects. Vacation programs can be booked for single days, or for an entire week. We will always spend a good amount of time outside and have two snacks and lunch together during the day (please bring from home).

Our Summer Art Program 2026 is now posted and open for registration. We offer full-day programs Monday-Friday (9am-4pm) during June 29-July 17 and August 10-28.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions.

Join our art programs on no-school holidays and during school breaks!

SUMMER ART PROGRAM 2026

We will run our full-day summer program (9am-4pm) during the first 3 vacation weeks in July (June 29-July 17) and during the last 3 weeks of August (August 10-28). Our summer program can only be booked for a full week.

Every week has its own theme to guide our artistic explorations. We will use an abundance of different materials for structured art projects, process art, and self-guided projects. Every Friday, we will create a print that matches the week’s theme and everybody who brings a white shirt can turn it into wearable textile art.

During the day, we will take breaks and spend plenty of time outside at one of our many neighborhood playgrounds.

Like all our vacation programs, the summer program is open to children aged 6-12. Children who are 5 may join if they are currently enrolled in Kindergarten (school year 2025-2026), are comfortable working independently and do not require any one-on-one help with everyday skills (getting dressed/undressed, tying shoes, using the bathroom, washing hands etc.).

  • Cost: $580 for full week (all materials included)

Week 1 (June 29-July 2): Castles & Dragons

During our first week of summer, we will create fantasy worlds and enjoy being far, far away from our daily schedules! We will build castles, paint fantastic creatures, and find ways to make what we want. Maybe a crown for a princess? Or a shield for a knight?

This week has only 4 days of summer program due to the federal holiday on Friday, July 3. The program fee is adjusted to $465.

Week 2 (July 6-10): Snow & Ice

While we enjoy the warmth and sunshine of summer, we will escape into landscapes of ice and snow. We will paint beautiful ice structures and create the animals that live in them, penguins, polar bears, seals, orcas and ???

Week 3 (July 13-17): Buzz & Crawl - Insects!

This week, we will discover the miniature world of insects. We will not exclude anything that crawls, so spiders, centipedes, worms etc. are welcome, too. We will observe bugs, butterflies, flies, and everything else we can find in our neighborhood and try to capture them in nature drawings. In addition, we will create paintings, sculptures, and of course prints!

Week 3 is SOLD OUT. Please email us if you would like to be placed on our waiting list in case a spot opens up.

Blue Mouse Gallery will be closed July 19-August 9, 2026 for summer break.

Week 4 (August 10-14): Space Adventures

It’s time to go to space! There is so much to explore—planets, stars, galaxies, and probably some aliens? We will figure out how to build a rocket ship, then draw, paint, sculpt, and print what we find out there. This week, we are looking for explorers and adventurers!

Week 5 (August 17-21): Jungle Explorers

After going to space, we will return to earth’s adventures and explore the wild jungle. There are so many breathtaking plants and animals to feature in our art that we will not run out of ideas for sure! As always, we will use a multitude of materials to express our creativity.

Week 6 (August 24-28): Beautiful Monsters

Before summer break ends, we will dedicate our last vacation week to the sillier side of life. We will draw, paint, sculpt, print and possibly become monsters ourselves. Who knows what will happen… the only thing that is certain is we will have lots of fun! Don’t forget your T-shirt for our last Friday print this summer!
