German immersion printmaking class! Create amazing prints while practicing German

This class will be taught in German and is open to children age 5-12. We will explore intuitive printing techniques that can be learned by observing and imitating. All levels of German learners are welcome to make art together.

We will start with creating a printed castle exploring colors and geometric forms. Our next projects will include foam stamps and paper roll printing. We will finish with beautiful Gyotaku (fish) prints.

All artists get to choose one of their artworks to be included in our next exhibition and will be invited to attend our exhibition opening party!

  • Class time: Saturday 2:00-3:15pm

  • 6 classes per session: 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 12/6 (no class during Thanksgiving weekend on 11/29)

  • Cost: $240 (materials included)

If you enroll more than one child, pay the full price for one class, then apply our 10% sibling discount to all other children’s art classes. In case of different program fees, the higher-priced program has to be paid in full. Use coupon code SIBLING during checkout for the discounted class.

  • What to bring: wear clothes that can be washed easily in case it gets messy (we have smocks), water bottle (optional)

This is a drop-off class. If needed, parents may stay for the beginning of the class to make sure their child feels comfortable with the group and the teacher. We will call the emergency contacts listed on your waiver if a child needs to be picked up early.

Please sign our waiver prior to your child’s first class at Blue Mouse Gallery. You can bring a printed copy to class, email us a signed PDF, or fill out the form when you arrive at our studio (please allow for extra time). We cannot permit class participation without a signed waiver.

  • Eva taught both of my children for three years. She is the kind of person that kids are drawn to and want to hug all the time, and yet, she is a strong leader. She is creative, attentive, and takes children and their ideas seriously.

    Melissa (parent)

  • Eva is an experienced educator who naturally connects with children. She uses her wealth of experience to keep students engaged and entertained. Never expect her to teach just one thing at a time - she constantly creates connections across subjects and will find ways to include music, math, science, or history into any art lesson.

    Zoran (colleague)

  • Eva has a gift for building connections with children of all ages within minutes. She instantly gets their attention, awakens their curiosity, and brings out their smiles. In return, she gives them respect, shares her knowledge, teaches new skills, and makes sure everybody has fun. More than a fair deal, I‘d say.
