About

Art …

It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.
— Pablo Picasso
The main thing is to be moved, to love, to hope, to tremble, to live.
— Auguste Rodin
There is no must in art because art is free.
— Wassili Kandinsky
Every time I have had a problem, I have confronted it with the ax of art.
— Yayoi Kusama
Creativity takes courage.
— Henri Matisse
Life is art. Art is life. I never separate it.
— Ai Weiwei

… and Mice

When times got tough during COVID, two things kept me going - making art and rescuing a mouse. His name was Oscar.

Times are getting tough again, let’s not face them alone. Let’s make art together at the Blue Mouse.

Welcome to our community!

Eva

A woman with short blonde hair smiling while a small mouse is on her shoulder, catching her earring.
  • Eva taught both of my children for three years. She is the kind of person that kids are drawn to and want to hug all the time, and yet, she is a strong leader. She is creative, attentive, and takes children and their ideas seriously.

    Melissa (parent)

  • Eva is an experienced educator who naturally connects with children. She uses her wealth of experience to keep students engaged and entertained. Never expect her to teach just one thing at a time - she constantly creates connections across subjects and will find ways to include music, math, science, or history into any art lesson.

    Zoran (colleague)

  • Eva has a gift for building connections with children of all ages within minutes. She instantly gets their attention, awakens their curiosity, and brings out their smiles. In return, she gives them respect, shares her knowledge, teaches new skills, and makes sure everybody has fun. More than a fair deal, I‘d say.

Our Neighborhood

We invite you to explore our wonderful East Cambridge neighborhood!

Getting to Blue Mouse Gallery is easy. If you drive, use the municipal parking lot behind the building across the street for up to 4 hours of parking. Bus 69 stops almost in front of our building. Or use the bike lanes and quiet neighborhood streets to ride your bike to Blue Mouse.

Looking for things to do after dropping off your child, or before and after classes? We have a public library next door. Gold Star Pool and Donnelly Field are around the corner. You can find specialty food and kitchen stores nearby if you need to get some shopping done. And there are excellent coffee shops, bakeries, sandwich stores, and restaurants in easy walking distance.
